In 1972, a group of enthusiastic, young and bright individuals with a keen sense for business opportunities gave birth to a limited partnership company, called CV. Felecia, and they together laid the foundation for what is known today as PT. Jerindo Sari Utama (the founding partnership company CV. Felecia was converted is 1979 into a private limited company under the name of PT. Jerindo Sari Utama). The name stands for “ First Quality of German – Indonesian Extraction “ and pays tribute to an enduring, early connection with German firms who quickly realized the potential of the young entrepreneurs.

Progress was swift. Before long, a modern office building in the heart of Surabaya’s most prominent business district was purchased and a branch office in Jakarta set up. Simultaneously, a partly refrigerated 14.600 sqm warehousing complex, including repacking facilities, located 15 km from the centre of Surabaya with excellent access to a highway was built in order to cope with the increasing volume of business.

As a company, PT. Jerindo Sari Utama occupies a central role as an intermediary between manufacturers and end-users. Sales promotion, sales, importation, repacking, and distribution of a variety of foreign goods from various countries, most notably from Germany, Singapore, and USA, are the core business activities of the company.

Yet, it is the people who keep the company going; a management with clear objectives and commitment, dedicated employees, steadfast overseas business partners (brief introductions inside), and most importantly, loyal and satisfied customers.
